About Minakari

Minakari is one of Persian handicrafts (Iranian handicrafts). Minakari is the art of decorating the surface of metal objects with designs through various processes such as dipping into paint, heating and drawing on the metal surface. In Minakari, enamel is usually applied to gold, silver, brass, nickel silver, copper or iron. A variety of designs is used in Minakari including miniature paintings, as well as arabesque and floral designs. Isfahan and Shiraz are the centers for Minakari in Iran. Some products of Minakari include earrings, necklaces, bangles, rings, Quran boxes, photo frames, tea sets, beverage serving sets, carafes, bowls, plates, vases, makeup boxes, Sugar bowls, and sprinklers.
