Sweeping pendant structures consist of lozenge forms inspired by Persian tiles and escutcheon-shaped ends. Between the field's swirling tracery, innumerable blossoms and rosy cloudbands create the illusion of layering that imbues this regal rug with extraordinary dimensionality and depth. Sumptuously rich colors result from the unfathomably skilled dye makers and superb wool, whose luster is heightened by its heavy pile.
