This room-size, one-of-a-kind masterpiece presents a breathtakingly idyllic riparian scene from the ancient, Northeast Persian weaving center of Dorasht. Every poignant detail expresses an enchanting moment in nature. See the wise-looking bull observing the waterfowl accompanying fishermen who are securing their bounty, while a hound chases a nearby hare. A figure collects flowers near a bridge; a lone stag looks on in the foreground. Beneath a canopy of realistic trees, a peacock stops to smell the roses with a butterfly overhead.
