Proudly displaying the prominent signature cartouche of the elite "Dilmaghani" workshop, this nearly square, 19th century Laver Kirman carpet offers an innovative design that immediately captures the eye with its lavishly dense display of intricate floral sprays and striking, circular medallion shape. The concentric arrangement of frames of the medallion, of the ivory reserve and of the main border is particularly compelling. Exotic rounded cartouches in the corner spandrals stand out and delightfully echo the complex circular medallion. The harmonious color palette include cranberry, ivory, midnight blue, scarlet, leaf green and carnation. Its condition is delightfully, especially when considering its nearly 150 years of age.
