ISFAHAN SILK Exquisite delicacy of design, masterful color combinations and a balanced, formal composition are the hallmarks of the highly esteemed Persian rugs of Isfahan. Isfahan handmade carpets have a long history and the history of Isfahan handmade carpets, these unique masterpieces date back to the early sixteenth century during the Safavid dynasty (1722-1502 AD). The Safavid era can be considered the brilliant era of Iranian hand-woven carpets. Shah Abbas was a strong supporter of Iranian art and artists in the sixteenth century. Isfahan is a city in the western center of Iran, and it became even more important when Shah Abbas moved the Iranian capital from Qazvin to Isfahan. The reign of Shah Abbas can be called the golden age of Persian carpet weaving. The delicate patterns and motifs of Isfahan antique and handmade carpets, which are embossed on the rugs and fabrics by the skilled hands of Isfahani artists, have created an irreplaceable painting.
