This luscious piece of surprising virtually square shape, epitomizes the uniquely myriad artistic ambiances of this timeless style, well cherished by our clients over the decades. Its medallion and pendant suite is well defined, with a sense of diffusion created by its midnight indigo base with feathery palmettes and emblematic lotus centerpiece. Its adroit color juxtapositions and ivory outlining of the ebullient ochre vinery further this sense of cohesiveness. All compositional layers fluently engage and intermingle with each other, including the parchment toned spandrels, creating a strikingly beautiful court-inspired, highly ‘organic’ atmosphere. A lissom classic border pattern is the perfect foil for the more robust visual paradigm of the center. Its square dimension is very seldom found in any style of antique Persian rug, and allows for numerous uses from equilateral seating areas to entries or under a circular table.
