Boasting especially potent jewel-tone colors and a petit point all-over pattern, this palace-size Heriz is a stately traditional Persian rug that would be perfect in a formal and contemporary setting. Its painstakingly rendered lattice design incorporates ancient split palmette motifs as well as the cloudband devices inspired by Chinese aesthetics, bringing a subtle, fluid delicacy to the fascinating all-over design. Extremely fine knotting allows for an extreme level of nuance in the artist's elaboration of these details. Delightfully saturated tones of garnet, sapphire blue, goldenrod and crimson magnify its majestic and highly memorable impact. Its excellent pile condition will allow it to be used comfortably even in a well-trodden space.
