About Ganj Ali Khan Complex

Ganj Ali Khan Complex belongs to Safavid Era and it is located next to Kerman Bazaar in Kerman. It was constructed to the order of Ganj Ali Khan, a famous governor of Kerman. Ganj Ali Khan constructed many buildings and works and attempted a lot for development of Kerman. The area of Ganj Ali Khan Complex is 11000 m2. This complex includes a square, mosque, school, bazaar, caravanserai, mint, bathhouse and cistern. There are Ganj Ali Khan bazaars on three sides of the square and there have been four mosques on four sides of the square three of which have remained. The most beautiful mosque is located on the east side that is considered as a museum of decorative arts.
