About Grand Hussainiya of Zanjan

With a history of about a century, Grand Hussainiya of Zanjan is located on the south of Zanjan City. It is well-known for the mourning rituals that are held each year on Muharram eighth. That day, groups of mourners start their mourning demonstration from Grand Hussainiya of Zanjan towards Imamzadeh Ibrahim that is usually simultaneous with Maghrib Azan. The mourning ceremony of Grand Hussainiya of Zanjan has been registered as an intangible cultural heritage in Iran.
