About Tabriz Castle

Tabriz Castle has been constructed from the early walls of a mosque called Ali-Shah the construction of which started in 8th century A.H. but left unfinished. In Qajar Period, a pavilion was constructed in its courtyard. Then, Tabriz Castle had been used as part of the city's battlement as well as arsenal. It has been registered as a national monument of Iran.

Tabriz is capital of East Azerbaijan Province. The city enjoys mild and fine climate in spring, dry and semi-hot in summer, humid and rainy in autumn and snowy cold in winter.
