About Soleymaniyeh Palace

Soleymaniyeh Palace belongs to Qajar Era and it is located in Karaj. It was constructed to the order of Fath-Ali Shah Qajar for summer residence in a large garden that is currently the Faculty of Agriculture. It was nominated after the birth of 34th child of Fath-Ali Shah called Soleyman Mirza. In the hall of Soleymaniyeh Palace, two paintings by Abdullah Khan Naghash Bashi are painted on the walls one of which shows the image of Agha Muhammad Khan Qajar and the other shows the figure of Fath-Ali Shah Qajar and his relatives. In the painting related to Fath-Ali Shah Qajar, Soleyman Mirza is drawn as a child next to Takht-e Tavoos. The building of Soleymaniyeh Palace is of brick and no special adornment is seen on its facade. Soleymaniyeh Palace has been registered as a national monument of Iran.
