About Akbarieh Garden

Akbarieh Garden belongs to Qajar Era and it is located in Moallem Boulevard, Birjand. With an area of about 45000 m2, this garden encompasses two mansions the older of which is Heshmat-ol-Molk Mansion with two stories that is located at the end of the eastern side of the garden. Another mansion is the Central Mansion of the garden, which has been constructed for parties and welcoming guests. This mansion encompasses excellent decorations and perspective. Tall palm trees on both sides of the main street of the Central Mansion as well as streets leading to this street have added to the beauty and freshness of Akbarieh Garden. Akbarieh Garden has been used as residential and reception location and for doing governmental affairs. Currently, various mansions of Akbarieh Garden are being used as the library, museum of archeology and anthropology, wildlife museum, and traditional restaurant and teahouse. In addition to being registered as a national monument of Iran, Akbarieh Garden has also been registered as UNESCO World Heritage.
