Jarmogan has been a small, prosperous and thriving city that existed before contemporary Bojnourd, which has been created next to that old city. It was devastated during Mongol attacks and today the ancient hill of Charmoghan next to Bojnourd is the ruins of that old city. The limits and extent of Ruins of Jarmogan show its ancient history and prosperity in early Islamic period.
