About Imamzadeh Seyyed Mir Mohammad

Imamzadeh Seyyed Mir Mohammad is the son of Imam Musa al-Kadhim and he is Ahmad Ibn Musa al-Kadhim's brother of the same mother. Seyyed Mir Mohammad was known as a man of prayer, grace and virtue among the Shi'as in such a way that he was called the Pious Mohammad because of praying a lot. During the caliphate of al-Ma'mun Abbasid, he moved to Toos from Medina along with his brother Ahmad Ibn Musa al-Kadhim and the Shi'as and those who were close to Ahl al-Bayt to visit their brother Imam Reza (PBUH). In a tough battle between them and the army of Gholotagh, the Abbasid governor of Fars, some Banu Hashim were killed and some of them including Seyyed Mir Mohammad could reach Shiraz and hide there. It is not known where and when Seyyed Mir Mohammad passed away and his tomb was found following an accident. At about 725 A.H., Mirza Enayatollah Dastgheyb saw a light in his house and after searching, he found a tombstone and realized that Mir Mohammad had been buried there. Mirza Enayatollah Dastgheyb became the founder of this Imamzadeh and bought several houses around Seyyed Mir Mohammad's tomb and extended the building and then dedicated some properties for this Imamzadeh.
