Esma'il Khan Castle is a mountain castle that is located in an area covered with acorn, ash and wild almond forests on Anbar-Ab Heights overlooking Ilam. It is a circle castle on the east side of which there is a triangle hatch with a base inward and a peak outward the castle. This hatch has been used to watch and control the surrounding of the castle. Mountain stones and plaster mortar have been used in its construction.
