About Saint Mary Church

Saint Mary Church was built in Ardabil in 1876 at the expense of the Calouste Mirzaeian family and attempts of Khachatoor Shahbaziyan. This church was active until 1944. Since then, religious ceremonies in the church are closed due to migration of Armenian families to Tabriz and Tehran. Today that over a century is elapsed from the construction of this church, its belongings including a bath and a school are totally destroyed and only the church building is remained.
