About Tomb of Sheikh Hurr Amili

Tomb of Sheikh Hurr Amili is located in Enghelab Courtyard of Shrine of Imam Reza (AS) in Mashhad. Sheikh Mohammad ibn Hasan Hurr Amili, known as Sheikh Hurr Amili, is one of the most prominent scholars of Shia of 11th century A.H. and the author of precious works including Wasael ush-Shia. Sheikh Hurr Amili was born in Mashghareh Village, in Jabal Amil region of Lebanon and when he was forty, he left Jabal Amil to visit the Holy Shrines in Iraq and moved to Mashhad to visit Shrine of Imam Reza (AS). When he found Mashhad an appropriate place for living, he stayed there and passed away there when he was 71 years old.
