About Esfidan Village

Esfidan Village is among the most beautiful and breezy villages of the North Khorasan Province. It is located 45 kilometers to the southeast of Bojnourd in a green valley and it is surrounded with high mountains. The stepwise and traditional structure of the village, unparalleled geographical location and sandalwood trees are special features of Esfidan Village. On the northwest side of this village, there is a long and deep valley called Hinrood and there is a spring with the same name about half an hour from the village that irrigates the surrounding gardens. On the southwest of Esfidan Village, there is a verdurous valley called Bahargah with numerous springs and a worth seeing waterfall. On the west of this village, a rock wall can be seen that is known as Tash Ghal'eh, which means the Rock Castle. On the mountains of Esfidan Village, the remains of ancient rock towers can be seen that have been constructed by stones and mortar. Imamzadeh Mohammad ibn Bagher ibn Moosa is located in Esfidan Village that is an old building the primary building of which has been constructed in 6th century according to the experts. In addition to cultivation, horticulture, and animal husbandry, people of this village also do apiculture, and fish farming. Of arts and crafts in this village, silk flower carpets of Na'in design and wrapper weaving can be mentioned.
