Chitgar Forest Park is one of the largest forest parks of Tehran. With an area of over 950 hectares, this park is full of trees. Vegetation of Chitgar Forest Park includes needle leaved trees like Pinus eldarica, Arizona Cypress, Platycladus and broad leaf trees including Robinia, Fraxinus excelsior, Ulmus Umbraculifera, Cercis siliquastrum, Celtis australis, Acer negundo, Acer velutinum, oak, and Ailanthus altissima. This park has a cycling resort and course, as well as skating facilities. It is worth mentioning that Chitgar Lake is located next to Chitgar Forest Park.
