About Golshan Mansion

Golshan Mansion belongs to Qajar Era and it is located in Bushehr, in Behbahani neighborhood. This mansion belonged to a merchant known as Mr. Golshan with a residential and commercial use. It is composed of three floors. The first floor included the kitchen, cistern and the bathhouse in addition to the servants' residence and the second and third floors were used for residence, receiving guests and doing commercial affairs. On the north side of the third floor, no room has been built and it is vacant. The reason is to reach a cool north breeze to the building. Golshan Mansion has a central courtyard and all chambers are located around it and are connected to each other with double doors. The cooling system of the building is the numerous doors. Most rooms are five-windowed with a corridor between them. Golshan Mansion runs to the roof from the four sides with a spiral staircase. Golshan Mansion has been registered as a national monument of Iran.
