About Bazaar of Zanjan

Bazaar of Zanjan belongs to Qajar Period and later various structures including mosques, inns and bathhouses are added to it. This bazaar is regarded as the longest roofed bazaar in Iran. Vastness of Bazaar of Zanjan as well as variety of the series of shops, inns and caravanserais in addition to numerous mosques express the dynamism of this bazaar in various periods. In terms of the type of activity, this bazaar is divided into eight series of shops (Rastehs) including the Rastehs of goldsmiths', shoemakers', mercers' and saddlers'. Architectural techniques and adornments of Qajar Period are implemented in all structures and various parts of Bazaar of Zanjan. This bazaar has been registered as a national monument of Iran.
