About Kharg Wildlife Refuge

Kharg Wildlife Refuge includes the islands of Kharg and Kharku with an area of 2398 hectares. These two islands are located on the north of the Persian Gulf, 75 kilometers to the northwest of Bushehr at a distance of 4 kilometers from each other. The islands of Kharg and Kharku have very beautiful sandy and rocky coral beaches. Of major animal species of Kharg Wildlife Refuge are deer, rabbit, green turtle, house crow, tern, bridled tern, flamingo, larus, heron and cormorant.
