About Golestan Palace

Golestan Palace is a complex of several palaces and buildings that is located on Arg Square in Tehran. The construction of this building was began at the time of Shah Tahmasb I in Safavid Era. Later, in Qajar Era, it significantly developed and became the residence for Qajar kings. Some of the buildings available in Golestan Palace are Shams-ol-Emareh, Salam Hall, Mirror Hall, Marble Bed Veranda, Spring House, Abyaz Palace, Karimkhani Retired Place, Ivory Hall, Diamond Hall, Brilliant Hall, Windroof Mansion and Windroof Mansion Spring House. Golestan Palace has been registered in UNESCO World Heritage Center.
