Certainly, carpet weaving, which was one of the most important occupations of Iranian households, was also common in Tehran. Developments in carpet weaving in Tehran over the last three decades have been much broader and different from its past, and can even be said to have been unprecedented on the Iranian carpet. These developments have reached their peak, especially in the last 20 years, after the revolution. One of the obvious reasons is the abundance of migration from other cities to Tehran.
